ruling – a determination made during the course of a trial, or the final decision in a case.
judgment – a court’s final determination of the rights and obligations of the parties, or the formal declaration to the accused, the legal consequences of the determination of guilt.
decree – modernly, synonymous with “judgment.”
adjudication – the court’s final judgment, usually made after the trial.
warrant – a writ used to direct or authorize someone to do an act, usually a law enforcer to make an arrest, a search, or a seizure.
