An abridgment (or breviary) of Roman law compiled by order of the Visigoth king Alaric II, published for the use of his Roman subjects in the year 506.\u00a0 *\u00a0 Revised versions were known as the Lex Romana Visigothorum.\u00a0 It was also termed <em>Breviarium Aniani<\/em> after Alaric\u2019s chancellor, Anian, who edited and distributed the\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>work. <\/strong>\u2014 aka <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong>Breviary of Alaric<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">.
