Several of these so-called codes or leges barbarorum<\/em> were published from time to time shortly after the fall of the Western Empire in the middle of the fifth century until about the time of Charlemagne, 800.\u00a0 The most famous is a Frankish one, the Lex Salica<\/a>, which probably dates from the second half of the fifth century.<\/span>\u201d<\/strong><\/span> [2]<\/span><\/p>\n

Law of the Burgundians<\/span><\/a> \u2013 the law of the (Germanic) Burgundians, first published\u00a0about AD. 495.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
