\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u201cThat Money is not to be accounted Goods or Chattels, because it is not of it self valuable . . . . Chattels are\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/strong>either personal or real. Personal, may be so called in two respects: One, because they belong immediately to the person of a Man, as a Bow, Horse, etc.\u00a0 The other, for that being any way injuriously withheld from us, we have no means to recover them, but Personal Actions.\u00a0 Chattels real, are such as either appertain not immediately to the person, but to some other thing, by way of dependency, as a Box with Charters of Land, Apples upon a Tree, or a Tree it self growing on the Ground. . . . Types of Chattel:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Chattel Personal<\/span><\/a> – a tangible good or an intangible right (such as a patent).\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>\u2014 aka\u00a0personal chattel<\/em><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chattel Real<\/a><\/span> – a real-property<\/a> interest that is less than a freehold or fee, such as a leasehold estate (considered a chattel<\/a> because it lacks the\u00a0indefiniteness of time<\/em> essential to real property<\/a>).\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 aka\u00a0real chattel<\/strong><\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chattel Vegetable<\/a><\/span> – a movable article of a vegetable origin, such as timber, undergrowth, corn, or fruit.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Local Chattel<\/span><\/a> – personal property that is affixed to land.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Unique Chattel<\/span><\/a> – a chattel that is absolutely irreplaceable because it is one of a kind.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
