An arrest made without probable cause<\/a> and for an improper purpose; especially, an abuse of process<\/a> by which a person procures the arrest (and often the imprisonment) of another by means of judicial process, without any reasonable cause.\u00a0 *\u00a0 Malicious arrest can be grounds for an action for abuse of process<\/a>, false imprisonment<\/a>, or malicious prosecution<\/a>. <\/strong>[1]<\/span><\/p>\n
