Periodically, however, Congress has exercised its power, based on Article III and Article I of the Constitution, to create other federal courts.\u00a0 Courts established under Article III are known as constitutional courts and those created under Article I are called legislative courts.\u00a0 The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=2521\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supreme Court<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=2524\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">courts of appeals<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=2519\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">federal district courts<\/a>\u00a0are constitutional courts.\u00a0<\/strong>[2]<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Constitutional Courts:<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;Article III Courts&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=2521\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">U.S. Supreme Court<\/span><\/a> &#8211; located in Washington, D.C., reviews unprecedented cases and announces <a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=2521\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supreme Court Decisions<\/a> which may be cited in court in order to back cases brought within other courts.\u00a0 The highest court in the United States.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=2524\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Federal Circuit<\/span><\/a>\u00a0&#8211; these 13 &#8220;circuit courts&#8221; review cases appealed from federal district courts, and in some cases from administrative agencies.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u2014 aka<\/span><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>circuit courts<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><em>.<\/em>;\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>courts of appeals<\/em><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=2519\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">U.S. Federal District Courts<\/span><\/a> &#8211; located in every state, the District of Columbia and in four territories: Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands, and having original jurisdiction over virtually all cases.\u00a0 These &#8220;trial courts&#8221; are where the factual record is established, and they&#8217;re the only federal courts wherein attorneys examine and cross-examine witnesses; aka <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>trial courts<\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; color: #993300;\"><strong>Legislative Courts:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;Article I Courts&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0These courts have administrative, quasi-legislative, and judicial duties used for the express purpose of helping to administer specific congressional statutes:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=9860\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces<\/span><\/a> &#8211; worldwide appellate jurisdiction over members of the armed forces on active duty and other persons subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=9854\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims<\/span><\/a> &#8211; reviews Board of Veterans&#8217; Appeals decisions appealed by claimants who believe the Board erred in its decision.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=9870\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">U.S. Tax Court<\/span><\/a> &#8211; a trial court to expeditiously resolve disputes between taxpayers and the Internal Revenue Service.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=2566\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">U.S. Court\u00a0of Federal Claims<\/span><\/a>\u00a0&#8211; a special trial court which deals with most claims for money damages against the U.S. government, and damages related to vaccine compensation.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cit.uscourts.gov\/\">Court of International Trade<\/a><\/span>\u00a0&#8211; addresses cases involving international trade and customs laws.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #993300; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Bankruptcy:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Federal courts have exclusive jurisdiction over bankruptcy cases involving personal, business, or farm bankruptcy.\u00a0 This means a bankruptcy case cannot be filed in state court.\u00a0 Through the bankruptcy process, individuals or businesses that can no longer pay their creditors may either seek a court-supervised liquidation of their assets, or they may reorganize their financial affairs and work out a plan to pay their debts.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=2528\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Learn More<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;
