writ of attachment<\/a> <\/span>– orders legal seizure of a property or person to satisfy a creditor’s claim.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

writ of execution<\/a><\/span> – directs officers to enforce a judgment, often, but not always, by seizing & selling the judgment debtor’s property.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Writs Pertaining to an Action of Ejectment<\/a> <\/strong>(recovery of land)<\/em>:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Writ of Ejectment<\/a> – used for the recovery of land<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Writ of Estrepement<\/a> – to prevent waste\u00a0by a tenant while a suit to recover the land is pending against the tenant (replaced by injunction)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
