A district court is considered always open for any filing, and for issuing and returning process, making a motion, or entering an order.<\/p>\n<p>(b) <strong>Office Hours<\/strong>. The clerk\u2019s office\u2014with the clerk or a deputy in attendance\u2014must be open during business hours on all days except Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.<\/p>\n<p>(c) <strong>Special Hours<\/strong>. A court may provide by local rule or order that its clerk\u2019s office will be open for specified hours on Saturdays or legal holidays other than those set aside by statute for observing New Year\u2019s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr.\u2019s Birthday, Washington\u2019s Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans\u2019 Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(a) In General.
