{"id":4424,"date":"2017-08-10T03:20:15","date_gmt":"2017-08-10T03:20:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/?page_id=4424"},"modified":"2017-08-14T00:18:34","modified_gmt":"2017-08-14T00:18:34","slug":"rule-70-enforcing-a-judgment-for-a-specific-act","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/?page_id=4424","title":{"rendered":"Rule 70 \u2013 Enforcing a Judgment for a Specific Act"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">(a)\u00a0<strong>Party\u2019s Failure to Act; Ordering Another to Act<\/strong>.\u00a0If a judgment requires a party to convey land, to deliver a deed or other document, or to perform any other specific act and the party fails to comply within the time specified, the court may order the act to be done\u2014at the disobedient party\u2019s expense\u2014by another person appointed by the court. When done, the act has the same effect as if done by the party.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">(b)\u00a0<strong>Vesting Title<\/strong>.\u00a0If the real or personal property is within the district, the court\u2014instead of ordering a conveyance\u2014may enter a judgment divesting any party\u2019s title and vesting it in others.
