The court may assert <a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=5206\">jurisdiction<\/a> over property if authorized by a <a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=3973\">federal statute<\/a>. Notice to claimants of the property must be given as provided in the <a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=3973\">statute<\/a> <em>or<\/em> by <a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=5189\">serving a<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=5189\">summons<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/reunitethestates.org\/\/?page_id=5189\">under this rule<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(2)\u00a0<em>State Law<\/em>.
