1. A tenancy in which the tenant holds possession with the landlord\u2019s consent but without fixed terms (as for duration or rent); specifically, a tenancy that is terminable at the will of either the transferor or the transferee and that has no designated period of duration.\u00a0 *\u00a0 Such a tenancy may be terminated by either party upon fair notice.\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 aka at-will tenancy<\/span><\/strong><\/em>; estate at will<\/span><\/strong><\/em>.
