1. A remedy \u2014 such as a writ of mandamus<\/a> or habeas corpus<\/a> \u2014 not available to a party unless necessary to preserve a right that cannot be protected by a standard legal or equitable remedy.\u00a0 *\u00a0 Because there is no agreed list of extraordinary remedies, some standard remedies \u2014 such as <\/strong>preliminary and permanent injunctions \u2014 are sometimes described as extraordinary. <\/strong>[1]\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
