1. An act of murder reduced to manslaughter because of extenuating circumstances such as adequate provocation (arousing the \u201cheat of passion<\/a>\u201d) or diminished capacity. <\/strong>\u2014 aka voluntary manslaughter<\/strong><\/em><\/span>; intentional manslaughter<\/strong><\/em><\/span>; manslaughter in the first degree<\/strong><\/em><\/span>; unintentional murder<\/strong><\/em><\/span>. A homicide, in which the act of killing, although intentional, is committed under the influence of passion or in heat of blood, produced by an adequate or reasonable provocation and before a reasonable time has elapsed for the blood to cool and reason to resume in habitual control, such act not being the result of wickedness of heart, cruelty, or recklessness of disposition. 26 Am J1st Homi \u00a7 19<\/span>.<\/strong> [2]<\/span><\/p>\n
