Various Types of Cotenancy:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

joint tenancy<\/span><\/a> – an estate held by two more more persons jointly, with equal rights to share in its enjoyment during their lives, and having as its distinguishing feature the right of survivorship.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

tenancy in common<\/span><\/a> – a tenancy by two or more persons, in equal or unequal undivided shares, each person having an equal right to possess the whole property but no right of survivorship.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
