who do not meet each of the three tests described above are not engaged in \u201claw enforcement activities\u201d as that term is used in sections 7(k) and 13(b)(20). <a class=\"colorbox-load definedterm init-colorbox-load-processed cboxElement\" title=\"Employees\" href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/definitions\/index.php?width=840&amp;height=800&amp;iframe=true&amp;def_id=c239cb8ef35cfc120200e2cf8c1cab57&amp;term_occur=9&amp;term_src=Title:29:Subtitle:B:Chapter:V:Subchapter:A:Part:553:Subpart:C:Subjgrp:120:553.211\">Employees<\/a> who normally would not meet each of these tests include<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"psection-2\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span id=\"e_1\" class=\"enumxml\">(1)<\/span> Building inspectors (other than those defined in <a title=\"\u00a7 553.213(a)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/cfr\/text\/29\/553.213#a\">\u00a7 553.213(a)<\/a>),<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"psection-2\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span id=\"e_2\" class=\"enumxml\">(2)<\/span> Health who direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic at specified intersections or other control points,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"psection-2\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span id=\"e_6\" class=\"enumxml\">(6)<\/span> Civilian parking checkers who patrol assigned areas for the purpose of discovering parking violations and issuing appropriate warnings or appearance notices,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"psection-2\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span id=\"e_7\" class=\"enumxml\">(7)<\/span> Wage and hour compliance officers,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"psection-2\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span id=\"e_8\" class=\"enumxml\">(8)<\/span> Equal employment opportunity compliance officers,<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"psection-2\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span id=\"e_9\" as part of a penal system for the incarceration or detention of persons suspected or convicted of having breached the peace or committed some other crime.
