1. Unreasonable delay in pursuing a right or<\/strong><\/span>
\n claim \u2014 almost always are equitable one \u2014 in a way that prejudices the party against whom\u00a0<\/strong>relief is sought.<\/strong> \u2014 aka\u00a0sleeping on rights<\/em><\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. The equitable doctrine by which a\u00a0<\/strong>court denies relief to a claimant who has unreasonably delayed in asserting the claim, when\u00a0<\/strong>that delay has prejudiced the party against whom relief is sought. <\/strong>[1]<\/span><\/p>\n

1. A doctrine, otherwise known as the doctrine of state demand, by which equitable relief is denied to one who has been guilty of unconscionable delay, as shown by surrounding facts and circumstances, in seeking that relief.\u00a0 Anno: 34 ALR2d 1314 \u00a7 1<\/span>.<\/span><\/strong>
